The Truth About The Jews and Israel In Islam Part 2

basmallah-2-1

O Children of Israel, call to mind My favour which I bestowed on you and that I made you excel nations.” (Qur’an chapter 2:47)

O Children of Israel, call to mind My favour which I bestowed on you and that I made you excel the nations.” (Qur’an chapter 2:122)

And We indeed delivered the Children of Israel  from the abasing chastisement, from Pharaoh. Surely he was haughty, prodigal. And certainly We chose them above the nations, having knowledge.” (Qur’an chapter 44 verses 30-32)

And when Moses said to his people: “O my people, remember the favour of Allah to you when He raised prophets among you and made you kings and gave you that which He gave not to any other of the nations.” (Qur’an chapter 5:20)

For those who have not I would highly recommend reading the first part of this series here:

In this entry I will be dealing with those areas in which we believe the Children of Israel have went astray.

And they say: “The Fire shall not touch us but for a few numbered days:” Say: “Have ye taken a promise from Allah, for He never breaks His promise? or is it that ye say of Allah what ye do not know?” (Qur’an 2:80)

“But the Jews and the Christians say, “We are the children of Allah and His beloved.” Say, “Then why does He punish you for your sins?” Rather, you are human beings from among those He has created. He forgives whom He wills, and He punishes whom He wills. And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, and to Him is the [final] destination.” (Qur’an 5:18)

The  Qur’an teaches that neither the Jews or Israel are alone in receiving the blessings of Guidance from Allah (swt). The Jews today cannot claim good standing with Allah (swt) simply on being descendants of Abraham and neither can the Arabs for that matter.

“All Israel have a portion in the world to come” Source: (Sanh 90a; cf. Mishnah Sanh 10:1) This statement is from the oral “Torah” of the Jews.

“No rabbi can ever go to hell.” Source: (Hagigah 27a p.171)

This statement is also from the oral “Torah” of the Jews. If any Jew or someone from the tribes of Israel make any of the following claims they are totally unfounded and untrue.

1) “God loves Israel alone of all the nations.”
2) “God will judge the Gentiles with one measure and the Jews with another.”
3) “Abraham sits besides the gates of hell and does not permit any wicked Israelite to go through, any wicked Israelite Abraham will keep out of hell.”
4) “They who are the seed of Abraham according to the flesh shall in any case, even if they be sinners and unbelieving and disobedient toward Allah, still share in the eternal Kingdom.”

Allah refutes any notion that heritage of Abraham itself makes the Jews saved.

“O Children of Israel, call to mind My favor which I bestowed on you and that I made you excel the nations. And be on your guard against a day when no soul will avail another in the least, neither will any compensation be accepted from it, nor intercession profit it, neither will they be helped. And when his Lord tried Abraham with certain commands he fulfilled them He said: Sure I will make thee a leader of men. Abraham said: And of my offspring? My covenant does not include the wrong-doers said He.” (Qur’an 2:122-124)

A

llah (swt) most high simply states that on Yom Al Qiyyamah (The Day of Shaking) that no one will be able to intercede on behalf of the Children of Israel. It also needs to be understood that when Abraham (upon whom be peace) asked about his offspring it simply states that Allah’s covenant is not with the wrong doers.

Not God of Israel but Lord of the Universe!

Moses calls God “God of the spirits of all flesh” (Numbers 27:16)

“Al hamdulilllahi rabil al’ameen-Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds!” (Qur’an chapter 1 verse 1)

“And messengers We have mentioned to thee before and messengers We have not mentioned to thee. And to Moses Allah addressed His word, speaking (to him).” (Qur’an 4:164)

And for ever nation there is a messenger. So when their messenger comes, the matter is decided between them with justice, and they are not wronged.” (Qur’an 10:47)

“That the people of the Book (Jews and Christians) may know they have no control over the grace of Allah, and that grace is in Allah’s hand. He gives it to whom He pleases, and Allah is the Lord of mighty grace.” (Qur’an chapter 57: 29)

Issues where the Children of Israel have went astray.

Muslims believe that Allah Most High had indeed given Moses the Torah to guide the Children of Israel. That this Torah consist of written documents and oral tradition is confirmed in the following verses of the  Qur’an.

“And certainly We gave Moses and Aaron the Furqan and a light and a reminder for those who keep from evil.” (Qur’an 21: 48)

Furqan- means discrimination or criteria

“And certainly We gave the Children of Israel the Book and the Hikmah and prophet-hood and provided them with good things, and made them excel the nations.” (Qur’an 45: 16)

Hikmah -means wisdom, discernment.

The following is proof that Judaism believes in an oral Torah.

http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Judaism/Oral_Law.html

“The Torah also is silent on many important subjects. We take it for granted that the large majority of couples want their wedding ceremony to be religious, but the Torah itself has nothing to say concerning a marriage ceremony. To be sure, the Torah presumes that people will get married — “Therefore shall a man leave his mother and father and cleave to his wife and they shall be one flesh” (Genesis 2:24) — but nowhere in the Torah is a marriage ceremony recorded. Only in the Oral Law do we find details on how to perform a Jewish wedding.”

“Without an oral tradition, some of the Torah’s laws would be incomprehensible. In the Shema‘s first paragraph, the Bible instructs: “And these words which I command you this day shall be upon your heart. And you shall teach them diligently to your children, and you shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk on the road, when you lie down and when you rise up. And you shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes” (see Deuteronomy 6:48).”

“Bind them for a sign upon your hand,” the last verse instructs. Bind what? The Torah doesn’t say. “And they shall be for frontlets between your eyes.” What are frontlets? The Hebrew word for frontlets, totafot is used three times in the Torah — always in this context (Exodus 13:16; Deuteronomy 6:8, 11:18) — and is as obscure as is the English. Only in the Oral Law do we learn that what a Jewish male should bind upon his hand and between his eyes are tefillin (phylacteries).”

“Finally, an Oral Law was needed to mitigate certain categorical Torah laws that would have caused grave problems if carried out literally. The Written Law, for example, demands an “eye for an eye” (Exodus 21:24). Did this imply that if one person accidentally blinded another, he should be blinded in return? That seems to be the Torah’s wish. But the Oral Law explains that the verse must be understood as requiring monetary compensation: the value of an eye is what must be paid.”

“For these three reasons-the frequent lack of details in Torah legislation, the incomprehensibility of some terms in the Torah, and the objections to following some Torah laws literally — an Oral Law was always necessary.”

“Strangely enough, the Oral Law today is a written law, codified in the Mishna and Talmud. Orthodox Judaism believes that most of the oral traditions recorded in these books dates back to God’s revelation to Moses on Mount Sinai. When God gave Moses the Torah, Orthodoxy teaches, He simultaneously provided him all the details found in the Oral Law. It is believed that Moses subsequently transmitted that Oral Law to his successor, Joshua, who transmitted it to his successor, in a chain that is still being carried on(Ethics of the Fathers 1:1).”

Islam and it’s relationship with the Oral and Written Torah.

There are many things in the ‘Oral Torah’ which were transmitted faithfully from Moses through Joshua and the Qur’an agrees with this.

For example:

  1. In the standard edition of the Mishnayot, the wording is: “Whoever destroys the life of a single human being (nefesh a’hat mi-bnei adam)…it is as if he had destroyed an entire world; and whoever preserves the life of a single human being…it as if he has preserved an entire world”.

“For this reason We prescribed for the Children of Israel that whoever kills a person, unless it be for manslaughter or for mischief in the land, it is as though he had killed all men. And whoever saves a life, it is as though he had saved the lives of all men. And certainly Our messengers came to them with clear arguments, but even after that many of them commit excess in the land.” (Qur’an 5:32)

However, there are elements in the ‘Oral Torah’ Muslims would argue is not from Allah (swt).

For example the foreign owned news media known as Fox News never did report this following juicy bit of information to the American people now did they….

AlterNet: How to Kill Goyim and Influence People: Israeli Rabbis Defend Book’s Shocking Religious Defense of Killing Non-Jews

As soon as it was published late last year, Torat Ha’Melech sparked a national uproar. The controversy began when an Israeli tabloid panned the book’s contents as “230 pages on the laws concerning the killing of non-Jews, a kind of guidebook for anyone who ponders the question of if and when it is permissible to take the life of a non-Jew.” According to the book’s author, Rabbi Yitzhak Shapira, “Non-Jews are “uncompassionate by nature” and should be killed in order to “curb their evil inclinations.” “If we kill a gentile who has violated one of the seven commandments… there is nothing wrong with the murder,” Shapira insisted. Citing Jewish law as his source (or at least a very selective interpretation of it) he declared: “There is justification for killing babies if it is clear that they will grow up to harm us, and in such a situation they may be harmed deliberately, and not only during combat with adults.”

“In January, Shapira was briefly detained by the Israeli police, while two leading rabbis who endorsed the book, Dov Lior and Yaakov Yosef, were summoned to interrogations by the Shabak. However, the rabbis refused to appear at the interrogations, essentially thumbing their noses at the state and its laws. And the government did nothing. The episode raised grave questions about the willingness of the Israeli government to confront the ferociously racist swathe of the country’s rabbinate. “Something like this has never happened before, even though it seems as if everything possible has already happened,” Israeli commentator Yossi Sarid remarked with astonishment. “Two rabbis [were] summoned to a police investigation, and announc[ed] that they will not go. Even settlers are kind enough to turn up.”

This is one of the reasons why the Last Prophet sent to the children of Israel (Jesus the Son of Mary) referred to the Misnah (“Oral tradition of the elders”) which would later comprise a major portion of the Talmud.

“In vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” (Mark 7:7)

Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which you have delivered: and many such like things do you.” (Mark 7:13)

Jesus (Esau) referred to the Mishnah ( “tradition of the elders”) which would later comprise a major portion of the Talmud:

“Then spoke Jesus (Esau) to the multitude, and to his disciples, Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not you after their works: for they say, and do not. For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make brad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, And love the uppermost rooms at feast and the chief seats in the synagogues, And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi, But be not you called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all you are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 23:1-9)

“But woe unto you Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: afor you neither go in yourselves, neither suffer you them that are entering to go in. Woe unto you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are like unto white sepulchers, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. Woe unto you. Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish sepulchers of the righteous.” (Matthew 23:13,27,29)

There are also many other things written in the Tanach (TNCH) that the Jews hold sacred that Muslims would not ascribe to Allah…

For example the killing of infants and babies. Muslims would never accept that Allah commands this!

“Thus said the Lord of host, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt. Now go and kill Amalek and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.” (1 Samuel 15:3)

Remember what the Rabbi quoted above:

“There is justification for killing babies if it is clear that they will grow up to harm us, and in such a situation they may be harmed deliberately, and not only during combat with adults.”

utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass

Like wise the following verses are troubling:

“Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.” (Numbers 31:17-18)
Muslims disagree with this completely! The life of the innocent must never be taken in war! Especially not children! We are opposed to this concept and we  should oppose any military force on this earth until the bitter end who enforces such a policy!

This is not what the Blessed Messenger (saw) gave us!  It is  attributed to the Blessed Messenger (saw) that he is reported to have said:

Narrated By ‘Abdullah : During some of the Ghazawat of the Prophet a woman was found killed. Allah’s Apostle disapproved the killing of women and children.

I advise you ten things| Do not kill women or children or an aged, infirm person. Do not cut down fruit-bearing trees. Do not destroy an inhabited place. Do not slaughter sheep or camels except for food. Do not burn bees and do not scatter them. Do not steal from the booty, and do not be cowardly.”

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab that a son of Kab ibn Malik (Malik believed that ibn Shihab said it was Abd ar-Rahman ibn Kab) said, “The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, forbade those who fought ibn Abi Huqayq (a treacherous jew from Madina) to kill women and children. He said that one of the men fighting had said, ‘The wife of ibn Abi Huqayq began screaming and I repeatedly raised my sword against her. Then I would remember the prohibition of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, so I would stop. Had it not been for that, we would have been rid of her.’”  Source: ( Bukhari Volume 004, Book 052, Hadith Number 257)
Not only this but the children of Israel who practice such things go directly against the mandates given in the Torah (as it is today) itself!

“The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.” (Deuteronomy 24:16)

“And it came to pass, as soon as the kingdom was confirmed in his hand, that he slew his servants which had slain the king his father. But the children of the murderers he slew not: according unto that which is written in the book of law of Moses, wherein the Lord commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.” ( 2 Kings 14:5-6)

So obviously this entails a huge contradiction in the TNCH what Christians call the ‘Old Testament’. Unless the practitioners of Judaism want to tell us that these commands (not to punish the innocent in place of the guilty) have been abrogated.

The scribes of Judaism did not keep the Torah intact.

“Woe! Unto them to those who write the Book with their hands then say, This is from Allah; so that they may take for it a small price. So woe! to them for what their hands write and woe! to them for the gain they make thereby.” (Qur’an chapter 2:79)

The Torah Was Entrusted to the Rabbis

“and the rabbis and the priest (judged according to their Scriptures),

“For to them was entrusted the protection of the book of Allah and they were witness to it.” (Qur’an chapter 5: 44)

TNCH (Tanach) affirms that the scribes have changed the Torah.

“How can you say we are wise, and the ‘law of the lord’ (Torah) is with us? But behold, the false pen of the scribes has made it (the Torah) into a lie.” (Jeremiah 8:8)

And Hiil-kiah, the high priest, said unto Shaphan, the scribe,I have found the book of the law in the house of the Lord. And Hil-kiah gave the book to Sha phan, and he read it.” (2 KINGS 22:8)

The accession of Josiah and his eagerness to restore the worship of Jehovah led to the renovation of the Temple, and in the course of this, B.C. 621, the book of Deuteronomy was discovered. The priest took it to the king, who joyfully welcomed it and set about putting its program of religious reformation into effect. The dramatic story is told in 2 Kings 22 and 23. Josiah put a stop to the idolatrous practices of the people,…” (Edgar J. Goodspeed ‘How came the Bible?’ pgs 22-23)

Recall  what Allah (swt) has already charged the scribes with above:

“Woe! Unto them to those who write the Book with their hands then say, This is from Allah; so that they may take for it a small price. So woe!”

For example Muslims do not believe that Allah (swt) said it was o.k to lend interest to people who are non Jews. This is just ridiculous to ascribe this to The Creator. This came from scribes who had corrupt hearts; ‘so that they may take for it a small price‘.

The following says that Jews can give interest to non-Jews but to one another.

“Unto a foreigner you may lend interest; but not unto your brother you shall not lend interest, that Jehovah your God may bless you in all that you put your hand on, in the land wherever you go into possess it. When you shall vow a vow unto Jehovah your God, you shall not be slack to pay it: For Jehovah your God will surely require it of you; and it would be sin in you.” (Deuteronomy 23:20-21)

Allah (swt) says in relationship to those who made such scriptures and attributed to Him:

“Woe! Unto them to those who write the Book with their hands then say, This is from Allah; so that they may take for it a small price. So woe! to them for what their hands write and woe! to them for the gain they make thereby.” (Qur’an chapter 2:79)

“Those who consume interest cannot stand [on the Day of Resurrection] except as one stands who is being beaten by Satan into insanity. That is because they say, “Trade is [just] like interest.” But Allah has permitted trade and has forbidden interest. So whoever has received an admonition from his Lord and desists may have what is past, and his affair rests with Allah . But whoever returns to [dealing in interest or usury] – those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein”. (Qur’an 2:275)

The Children of Israel and their civil war. The time when the Jews fought Israel.

Most likely much of the corruption of the Torah and the TNCH in general happened during the civil war. Many people are unaware that historically Israel (the 12 tribes) had a civil war, with Benjamin and Judah in one area and the other ten tribes (including the priestly Levi tribe) in another area.

Biblical Scholars like Richard Elliot Friedman believe that the first story of the Jews worshiping the golden calf during the time of Moses was fabricated by the writers of the Bible who were the high priests and the custodians of the temple of God in Jerusalem, to discredit Jerobeam and his temple in the Northern Kingdom. They invented the story of Moses and the golden calf, claiming that it provoked the wrath and punishment of God during the time of Moses. This did certainly send a strong message to the Jews that the temple erected by Jerobeam is unacceptable by God.

Most probably the calves adorning the temple of Israel were symbolic and were not intended to be worshiped. Yet the story of the calf-worshiping-Jews, provoking the wrath of God, in the time of Moses had its intended effect. Emergence of a new temple in the North would not have only undermined the importance of Jerusalem as the sole religious center for all the Jews, but it would have also separated religiously a nation already split politically.

Throw out your calf-idol, O Samaria! My anger burns against them. How long will they be incapable of purity? They are from Israel! This calf – a craftsman has made it; it is not God. It will be broken in pieces, that calf of Samaria. — (Hosea 8:5-6)

The following relates an encounter between Rabbi Meir and a Samaritan. The story that developed includes the following dialogue:

  • R. Meir asks the Samaritan: What tribe are you from?
  • The Samaritan answers: From Joseph.
  • R. Meir : No!
  • The Samaritan: From which one then?
  • R. Meir : From Issachar.
  • The Samaritan: How do you figure?
  • R. Meir: For it is written (Gen 46:13): The sons of Issachar: Tola, Puvah, Iob, and Shimron. These are the Samaritans (shamray). Source: (A Midrash Genesis Rabbah Sect. 94)

Samaritanism resembles Judaism, but there are several differences.

  1. Samaritans think that the temple of YHWH should not be on Mount Zion in Jerusalem, but on Mount Gerizim near modern Nablus (ancient Shichem); Modern Palestine.
  2. They believe that their line of priests is the legitimate one, as opposed to the line of priests in Jerusalem;
  3. They accept only the Law of Moses (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus,Numbers, Deuteronomy) as authoritative, and have a slightly different text of these books. The Prophets and Writings are not recognized as divinely inspired

So basically anyone can read the  Qur’an can see that it does weigh in on the civil war that happened between the children of Israel.

In fact historically most of the children of Israel have already embraced Islam. When you consider they were dispersed during the Babylonian captivity, and that many of the people of the middle eastern people are an assimilation of various cultures and ethnic groups this would also include the 12 tribes of Israel.

Many of the people of Palestine if they were to really look deep at their own last names and history will see that they themselves are mixed with the Samaritan people amongst others.

In a way you could say that the civil war between the 12 tribes has not ended and that the people of the west are being duped in a genocidal war by the (Ashkenazi Jews) against the other 10 tribes.

The truth is that the wars in the middle east have less to do with an Arab -Israeli conflict and more to do with an Intra-Israeli conflict that is historically rooted among the 12 tribes.

For example: I have already explained in a previous post that Israel has 12 tribes. Why is it today that we only hear about the Jews, the Jews and the Jews?

Why don’t we hear about the tribe of Issachar, Zebulun, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Joseph, Rebuen, Shimon, Levi.

You want to know why? Most of these tribes who consist of the people of Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the Middle East have already embraced Islam. They recognize that Islam is the truth from their Lord and have embraced it.

So every time you see a country dropping bombs on Afghanistan, Iraq or making plans of invading Iran all that your really seeing is a genocidal war against the 10 tribes of the north (Israel) who have also inter-bred and inter-mixed with the local peoples.

Don’t be misled by people who tell you that the word ‘Jew’ is interchangeable with any of the 12 tribes as this is not correct. The word Jew is only for those who come from the tribe of Judah.

We also know that there are two groups of Jews today. There are the Sephardi and the Ashkenazim. The Sephardi are actually Jews and people of the tribe of Benjamin as well.

The AshkeNAZIm are converts to Judaism from the Khazar tribes of southern Russia (they are not actually Jews but are European converts to the faith) -the bulk of the ‘Jews’ today are from this stock.

This is important to keep in mind.  The sole claim that these people have on Palestine is that it is their ancestral home land.    The ancestral homeland of Khazar’s who converted to Judaism is in the Caucasus mountain region.

Recall that history tell us that Pharaoh brought the Hebrews into Egypt as slaves.  Where did Egypt get their slaves from?  They brought them primarily from the lands that today are called Sudan and Ethiopia.   Keep in mind the the racial-ethnic make up of these people as ‘Black Africans’.    Yet today the bulk of ‘Jews’ are ‘Askhenazi’ -or Europeans as well as Non-Semitic peoples.

Allah (swt)  does not sleep or rest.

It is revealed in the Qur’an that Allah (swt) has never slept or does not need to take a ‘fifteen minute break’. Such a concept is blasphemous to Allah  (swt) and it degrades The Creator of the universe.

The following is taken from http://www.jewfaq.org/shabbat.htm

In Exodus 20:11, after Fourth Commandment is first instituted, G-d explains, “because for six days, the L-rd made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is between them, and on the seventh day, he rested; therefore, the L-rd blessed the Sabbath day and sanctified it.” By resting on the seventh day and sanctifying it, we remember and acknowledge that G-d is the creator of heaven and earth and all living things. We also emulate the divine example, by refreshing from work on the seventh day, as G-d did. If G-d’s work can be set aside for a day of rest, how can we believe that our own work is too important to set aside temporarily?”

“Allah-there is no god but He, the Ever-living, the Self-subsisting by whom all subsist. Slumber overtakes Him not, nor sleep.” (Qur’an chapter 2:255)
