Christian Evangelist Admits Allah Is God

And do not dispute with the followers of the Book except by what is best, except those of them who act unjustly, and say: We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you, and our Allah and your Allah is One, and to Him do we submit.”(Qur’an 29:46)

If there is one vicious lie about Islam running around in the world today it is that Allah The Owner of The Throne is not the true God that is worshiped by the Jews, Christians, and Muslims.

However, Christian Evangelists have taken it upon themselves to refute fellow missionaries in their ‘zeal’ and fanaticism.

I want people to read this article very carefully, as I am going to use sources from a Christian Evangelist to show that the Allah of the Qur’an is the same God that is worshiped by the Jews, Christians, and Muslims.

In order to ’refute’ this article, you would have to refute sincere Christian Evangelists and scholars of a very high caliber.

One such Christian missionary is Dr. John Gilchrist. T

Whether other Muslims choose to do this or not is up to them, though I wish to personally thank Dr. John Gilchrist for the article he wrote. It is entitled, “Our approach to Islam: Charity or Militancy?

I have yet to see a better article published by either a Muslim, Christian, or otherwise for proving conclusively that ALLAH most high is the same God as worshiped by Jews, Christians, and Muslims.

Allah is the God of Abraham is true! At the beginning of the article, I was upset to see people who proclaim themselves to be Muslims and who have such a beautiful way of life, called Islam, act so contrary to the spirit and teachings of Islam.

However, when I began reading his defense of Allah being the true God I quite literally jumped up out of my chair screaming, SubhanAllah” (Glory be to God) and, “Uh take that!

With that said it should be realized that from a Christian standpoint he is no “sale out cup-cake missionary“. He has publicly debated Muslim apologist like Ahmed Deedat, Yusuf Buckas, Shabir Ally as well as holding a forum with Yusuf Ismail. There is no other Christian debater in the world today who has had that distinction. Dr. Gilchrist stands up as a champion for Christian theology. Quite frankly, if I was a Christian I would be very sad to see the day God takes him.

Read on…

Christian evangelist writes about current evangelical and demonic hostility towards Islam.

Dr. Gilchrist says:

Not surprisingly there have been calls for a renewed spirit of the Crusades – a militant struggle to again protect the Christian world from aggressive Muslim ventures. Today, however, Church and State are not as intertwined as they were in medieval times and so the call within the Church has been for a verbal and spiritual struggle against the rising Islamic challenge. A minister of the Evangelize Gereformeerde Kerk in the Cape, Ds. Soon Zevenster, has called boldly for a “teenaksie” (a counter-struggle) and other evangelical Christian leaders, both in South Africa and elsewhere in the traditional Christian world, have come out strongly in favour of a militant response. “We are at war with Islam”, they cry, and a mighty spiritual warfare has been called for against the forces and powers of Islam“.

Dr. Gilchrist continues…

Yet Ds. Zevenster went on to say “My Bybel sê: ‘So lief het die Yahweh God die wêreld gehad’…” (My Bible says: Yahweh God so loved the world … John 3.16)”.

It would be interesting to see that Bible! There is no text of John 3.16 anywhere which says that “Yahweh God” so loved the world – the Greek contains only the word theos“.

On other occasions it has been suggested that the Arabic Bible should have used the word Yahweh for theos and not Allah. Again the suggestion must be challenged on textual grounds. The New Testament deliberately avoids the use of the name Yahweh and the only possible translation of theos into Arabic is Allah“.

Militant Christian writers say Allah cannot be a representation of the true God because, according to the Qur’an, he is not Triune, he has no Son, etc.

Well then, the Yahweh of the Jews today cannot be the true God either because they maintain that he too is not Triune and also has no Son.

At least Islam acknowledges Jesus as a man sent from God but the Jews say Yahweh did not send Jesus at all!

In the previous three paragraphs, Christian evangelist John Gilchrist gave Ds. Soon Zevenster a thorough spanking!

Dr. Gilchrist continues…

One of the key features of the modern spirit of Christian militancy against Islam is the proposal that Allah, the deity of Islam, is a “false god” and that he cannot in any way be identified with the true God of the Bible. This approach is vigorously pursued in many recent Christian writings on Islam notwithstanding the fact that the Qur’an unambiguously defines Allah as the same God in whom the Jews and Christians believe. At one point it plainly states that Christians and Muslims worship the same God. Specifically addressing the “People of the Book” (Ahl al-Kitab) it says:

We believe in what has been sent down to us and in that which was sent down to you; our God and your God is One, and we are submitted to him”. Surah 29.46

This is highly interesting as Dr. Gilchrist is pointing out that this whole concept that ‘Allah is a false God’ is coming from a “renewed spirit of the Crusades”.

What Dr. Gilchrist is saying is that some of his fellow missionaries believe that if you make the distance between Allah and ‘God’’ the bridge will be burned.

It will be a lot more difficult for Christians to convert to Islam if they can’t identify with Allah. However, he is also pointing out that it will be a lot more difficult for Muslims to convert to Christianity if they can’t identify with the deity of the Bible.

Dr. Gilchrist continues…

Firstly it is quite apparent from the Qur’an that the name Allah did not originate with Muhammad. The pagan Arabs openly acknowledged that, beyond their various deities and idols, there was one Supreme Being who was the ultimate source of all things“.

“If you should ask them who created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and moon, they will assuredly reply ‘Allah'” (Surah 29.61).

When faced with disasters “they cry unto Allah” (Surah 10.22)

and they also “swear their strongest oaths by Allah” (Surah 16.38).

Western scholars agree that the name has pre-Islamic origins and it is almost certainly derived from the Syriac Christian Alaha

The following proofs that Jesus spoke Aramaic

Then he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus behold him, he said, You are Simon the son of Jona: you shall be called Cephas, which is translated A Stone.” (John 1:42)

The Aramaic word for Cephas is stone.

And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto you, take away this cup from me; nonetheless not what I will, but what you will.(Mark 14:36)

Abba, Father: an Aramaic term, here also translated by mark,”

And at the ninth hour, Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?”   (Mark 15:34)

An Aramaic rendering of Psalms 22:2, See also the note on Mt 27, 46”

Source: ( New American Bible pg. 1087 footnote on Mark 15:34)

This is known to all students of the Bible that this phrase is an Aramaic phrase.

What is interesting is why was there a pressing need to preserve that statement in Aramaic? Why not just translate it flat out, ‘My God, My God why have you forsaken me?”

Only time will tell.

For anyone interested I would highly recommend the George M Lamsa Bible (translated from Aramaic) by Dr. George M Lamsa.

This following image is taken from the Lamsa Bible which is translated from the Aramaic(Syriac) sources.

NOTE: When it says the Deity underneath you will see Aramaic ‘Alaha’ and for English God.

Now I’m going to put passage of the Bible up on the screen. I would like everyone to do a little mental exercise with me. Picture Jesus on his face praying either out loud or to himself, to Alaha! If tears begin to fill your eyes and your heart at this juncture then please feel free to accept Islam.

“…And (JESUS) fell on his face, and prayed“. (Matthew 26:39)

And at the ninth hour, Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?”   (Mark 15:34)

If Jesus in his most desperate hour cried out to Alaha and Christians are to be ‘Christ-like’ why do they not cry out to Alaha for help as well?

Dr. Gilchrist continues…

Secondly the name Allah is to this day not exclusive to Islam. Although Christian Arabs use the name Yasu for Jesus and not the Qur’anic Isa, they use no other name for God than Allah. It is not so much the name of the deity of Islam as it is simply the Arabic name for God, the one Supreme Being who created all things. What “God” is to the English language (and “theos” to Greek) is what “Allah” is to Arabic. Even the small Arabic-speaking Jewish communities of Morocco and other North-African Muslim countries use the name Allah for God and every translation of the Bible into Arabic employs this name alone“.

I know this to be true personally.

If you just so happen to be traveling around the United States and you stay the night in a motel you might find a Gideon’s Bible which is translating John 3:16 Into 26 of the world’s most spoken languages. Two of these languages are Arabic and Malay.

What word is used for God in their passages of John 3:16?

Guess just guess!

If you said ALLAH you are absolutely correct.

Praise be to Allah. Along time ago I took this picture using my father’s camera. I uploaded to a blog on comparative religion and I am happy to see that this image is still being used far and wide to spread the truth.

Dr. Gilchrist continues…

If anyone was to teach a group of Arab Christians that Allah was a “false god” they would think he was blaspheming, or if this same group was taught that “Allah does not actually exist” (another recent Christian approach), they would think he was an atheist“.

Thirdly, and this is perhaps the most important point, the Allah of the Qur’ an is expressly said to be the same God as the one in whom the Jews and the Christians believe.

He is not only said to be the Creator of the heavens and the earth, but he is also clearly defined as the specific deity of the Biblical faiths. The pagan Arabs acknowledged the existence of a Supreme Being, Allah, but they would not admit that he was also ar-Rahman, “the Compassionate”, the name was specifically given to God by the Jews of that time“.

When it is said to them, ‘Adore ye the Compassionate’, they say, ‘And what is the Compassionate? Why should we adore what you command?Surah 25.60

And they blaspheme at the mention of the Compassionate. Surah 21.36

Dr. Gilchrist continues…

We need to return to Paul’s sermon on the Areopagus for a final assessment of this question. (All Christians intending to evangelize Muslims should read through this sermon very carefully – it is a model of a correct Christian approach in a cross-cultural context). Twice in his message, Paul appealed to pagan writings to support his contention that the “unknown god” whom the Athenians worshiped was the same God he was now proclaiming to them. The relevant passage reads as follows:

“Yet he is not far from each one of us, for ‘In him, we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your poets have said, ‘For we are indeed his offspring’. Being then God’s offspring, we ought not to think that the Deity is like gold, or silver, or stone, a representation by the art and imagination of

man”. Acts 17.27-29.

In him, we live” and we are “his offspring”, the Greek poets said, and Paul unreservedly applied these references to the God whom he was proclaiming, the God who raised Jesus from the dead (Acts 17.31). Yet they were originally both applied to Zeus, the supreme god of the pagan Greeks, and known to the Romans as Jupiter.

The first quote comes from a poem by Epiminedes the Cretan where the words were addressed to Zeus by his son and the second derives from the Phainomena of Aratus the Cicilian which opens with the words “Let us begin with Zeus

Source: (cf. Bruce, The Book of Acts, pp.359-360).

The conclusion of Dr. Gilchrist…

It may seem remarkable that Paul should have no scruples about applying such statements to the only Supreme Being of the universe and therefore to the God whom he proclaimed, yet he did. He obviously considered that, to the extent that they correctly described something of God’s own character, they could e considered as referring ultimately to him“.

If Paul could make such allowances, can we not accept that the Allah of Islam to is, in principle, the same as the God of the Bible, especially when we consider that the Qur’an’s description of him is far closer to the character of the one true God than the attributes of Zeus and that there was a deliberate intention to refer to the same deity.

Mash‘Allah very well said, Dr. Gilchrist!

For those who don’t know. The above article of Dr. Gilchrist can be found at an anti-Islamic web site! So I am not just bringing material from just anyone. I actually brought this material from the heart of an anti-Islamic web site! How do you like them apples!

The source for his article is here:

Not only has Dr.Gilchrist a well-known missionary and evangelist made such statements but the Father of Christianity the Pope himself has made the following comment.

Question: What does the recently deceased Pope John Paul 2 (May Allah have mercy on him) have to say about Allah?

In his weekly general audience in late May of 1999, Pope John Paul II addressed Muslims in a series discussing “inter-religious dialog.” He quotes from the 1994 Catechism of the Catholic Church n. 841 which states, “… together with us, they (Muslims) adore the one, merciful, God.”

His Immense Pope John Paul 2 kissing the Qur’an.

It should be pointed out that in Islam Allah is not Love, yet Allah is The Love (Arabic Al-Wadud).

Question: How is loved defined in the dictionary?

The dictionary defines love as “To regard with affection; to like; to delight in. To be in love; to be tenderly attached. Warm affection”

Source: New Webster’s Expanded Dictionary

If you say that Allah is love that means everything that is Love is Allah, and that is just incorrect. Love is a feeling and an expression of an attribute of Allah. However, if you say that Allah is The Love than this means that all Love comes from Allah.

1) The Christian definition is generic in just saying that God is love as it does not indicate God is the source of Love.

2) The English definition of Love gives the impression of someone being intimate with a teddy bear.

Allah punishes as well because he loves us. So this love is a constant state. It does not contradict any of his other attributes. Any more than when in Christian theology when Allah sends people to Hellfire He does not stop being Love.

His attribute of being The Just is not contradicted.

Question: Does Allah love us? Is Allah loving?

Answer: You better believe it.

Prophet Muhammed (saw) is reported to have said in a sublime oral tradition

“Allah loves us more than a mother loves her child” [Bukhari 73:28].

Read the following verses from the Quran and you be the judge!

And He is the Forgiving, The Loving,”(Qur’an 85:14)

Say: If you love Allah, follow me: Allah will love you, and grant you protection from your sins. And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. Say: Obey Allah and the Messenger, but if they turn back, Allah surely loves not the disbelievers.” (Qur’an 3:30-31)

“And ask forgiveness of your Lord, then turn to Him. Surely my Lord Is Merciful, Loving Kind.”(Qur’an 3:30-31)

Those who believe and do good deeds, for them the Beneficent will surely bring about love.” (Qur’an 19:96)

Allah is the same God worshiped by Jews, Christians, and Muslims world over. The same God that answers our prayers. The same God we pray to when we hope the Packers win the Super Bowl. The same God who watched you buy that lottery ticket last week. The same God who loves all His creation irrespective of their race, religion, and or nationality.

The God of which Prophet Muhammed is reported to have said in a sublime oral tradition:

“Loves us more than a mother loves her child” [Bukhari 073:28]

1) A Christian missionary and evangelist Dr. John Gilchrist gives overwhelming evidence that Allah is God.

2) This whole concept that Allah is ‘a demon false deity’ is coming from militant Christians who want to burn bridges between Muslims and Christians as pointed out by Dr. John Gilchrist.

3) Jesus himself spoke Aramaic.

4) Christian scholar Dr. George M Lamsa who even had the Bible translated from Aramaic records that Jesus said Alaha when addressing God.

5) Recently departed Pope John Paul the 2nd himself said we worship the same God.

6) Jews and Christian Arabs who speak the Arabic language use, Allah, in reference to God.

May the God of Abraham: Allah The Owner of The Throne guide us all to the truth! Ameen!
