Debate between: Shaykh Massoud al-Miqbali and Sayyid Hassan al Saqqaf

Bismillah ir rahman ir raheem,

Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided.” (Qur’an 16:125)

In light of the previous post entitled: https://primaquran.com/2022/08/06/exposing-the-nifaq-of-assad-al-muharrami/

In which Assad revealed the following:

““I think that I need to make this clear to not misunderstand the qadi. Basically for us ibadis, all those who disagree with us in any thing of aqeeda/belief/whatever you call it, is in Bara’ah. Because in Aqeedah there can only be one absolute truth, unlike fiqh issues where khilaf is possible. But does that mean we say they’ll go to hellfire? No (AS THEY MAY HAVE REPENTED). Go to jannah? No. Rather their judgement is up to Allah SWT And when someone says it’s not only ibadis that’ll enter Jannah then that’s true, as the name is not necessary rather the belief is.**”

So we said that what is apparent as based upon his own beliefs. That is that Assad is upon clear nifaq. Because he follows the views of a Da’iee, the respected Shaykh Massoud al-Miqbali who believes that people people like Sayyid Hassan al-Saqqaf will go to hell (IF he doesn’t repent of his creed before death).

So what better way to know who is upon the haqq than to arrange a cordial debate between the two?

Topics could include:

The Battle of Siffin: Was Ali upon the Haqq?

The Qur’an: Created or Uncreated?

Ahl Sunnah Wal Jammah or Ahl Haqq Wal Istiqamah: Who is upon the Haqq?

They could also choose any other relevant issues to debate. Most interestingly would be the first topic concerning the Battle of Siffin. We know that Shaykh Massoud al-Miqbali is more than ready to defend the words of Allah (swt). The question is, is Sayyid Hassan al-Saqqaf ready to defend what he feels is the honour of Ali Ibn Abu Talib?

After all, the claim of the Ibadi’s is that Ali was mistaken in his ijtihad. He went against the commands of Allah (swt). That is no small claim.

Insh’Allah, both men have good manners and are capable of having such a forum that would help bring the ummah closer to the haqq.

May Allah (swt) guide us to what is beloved to Allah (swt). May Allah (swt) keep us firm against the hypocrites and those who oppose the haqq!
