Question on eternality of hellfire. Khalidina and abada

“But I have for you only notification from Allah and His messages.” And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger – then indeed, for him is the fire of Hell; they will abide therein(khalidina) forever (abadan).” (Qur’an 72:23)

“Salam. I am really lost. I travel from group to group and sect to sect. I used to be with the Qur’an only. However, I realized that they are all over the place. I have lots of anger and rage inside of me. I cannot sleep at night. I have question on eternality of hellfire in Qur’an. If Qur’an says khalidina fiha why the need to say khalidina fiha abadan? My understanding is that without the addition of abadan then khalidina does not mean forever. I do not wish to be misguided on this matter.”

Walakum salaam warahmutallahi wabaraktuh. May Allah (swt) guide you and us. May Allah (swt) put into your mind and in your heart yaqin (certainty). May Allah (swt) cool your rage and turn your passion into vigor to worship your lord and assist your fellow human beings in need.

Those who have equipped you with such an understanding you are well with in your right to ask them:

Bring one verse in the Qur’an where it says those who enter the hell fire will leave it.

Secondly to those who follow the ‘Qur’an only religion‘ you may ask them: Ask the Qur’an what khuld means.

Third, In “Lisan Al Arab” a famous Arabic vocabulary book- Al Khuld: “Continuous stay in the house: does not leave it. Khalada Yakhludu Khuldan and Khuludan: stayed and resided. Therefore, khuld means continuous staying whether abada came or not, because abada is further confirmation only, not because it doesn’t mean eternity except when abada comes, and if it doesn’t mean eternity except when abada comes, then what is said about what Allah (swt) says here:

“Allah has prepared for them gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide eternally. That is the great attainment.” (Qur’an 9:89)

The verse above abada does not come with khuld here, so is it said that heaven is discontinuous stay because it didn’t come with abad?

Even as Sheikh Hamed Hafidh As Sawafi (hafidhullah) says:

“Every Arab knows that khuld means -eternality and that even in aqidah books you see the section of khulud ahili kabir fil nar (the eternality of the major sinners in hell) and even those who differed with the Ibadis, they say “We disagree with the ibadis on their aqidah of the khulud ahlul kabair fil nar“. They say this without including ‘abadan‘ to it.”

“The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters.” (Qur’an 10:94)
