There are two official Jewish jurisdictions in the world. One of which is occupied Palestine (otherwise known as Israel) and the other is JAO, or the Jewish Autonomous Oblast. This is in accord with Article 65 of the Constitution of Russia.
The total land area of JOA, the Jewish Autonomous Oblast is 36,000 km2 or (14,000 sq miles). This makes it larger than the State of Israel (occupied Palestine), which is only 20,770km2 or (8,000-8500 sq miles).
