The Greatest Cover Up in Church History? Refutation of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad

“And for their saying: “We have killed the Messiah Jesus the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah!” They did not kill him, nor did they impail him, but it appeared to them so. Those who dispute are in doubt of him, they have no knowledge except to follow conjecture; they certainly did not kill him” (Qur’an 4:157)

“And do not clothe the Truth with falsehood, nor conceal the Truth, while you were knowing.”
(Qur’an 2:42)

I had done this entry before in another web site in which I was dealing primarily with Christian-Muslim apologetic.

However, as I am more concerned about unity among Muslims, and intraMuslim dialogue and debate with a focus on the Qur’an I had shifted away from this area.

However, as I have recently had some discussion with someone from the Ahmadiyyah (a break away sub denomination of the Sunni denomination)  I thought it would do well to publish my research on this matter here.

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad is a controversial figure.   Latter his followers split into two rival sects. the Ahmadiyyah Lahori (who believe that Mirza was simply a reformer and not a prophet of Allah)  and the Ahamadiyyah Qadiani (those who believe that Mirza is the return of Christ Jesus as well as a figure known as the Mahdi, all rolled into one).

The question to my fellow Muslims in regards to Qur’an 4:157 is as follows:

Why would Allah Most High say
They didn’t kill him, nor did they kill him?

Many Muslims read this and don’t really ponder on what is being said.
Why not just say they didn’t kill him at all? Or why not just say they didn’t cause his death by impailing?

Answer: Because Allah is addressing the Jews.

Allah is addressing the Jews historically They didn’t kill him (The Jews didn’t kill Jesus)

Comment:
Allah says specifically here that the Jews didn’t kill Jesus by Impailing.

Allah also says that they didn’t kill him by any other means.

What could Allah Most High be talking about?
Is there something that some Christians wouldn’t want us to know about?

Did you know there is a Christian denomination known as the ‘Jehovah’s Witness’?
Why don’t the Jehovah’s Witnesses have any crosses on their churches?

The importance of this article will be readily seen by the truth seeker. If Mirza Ghulam Ahmad is a Prophet he should know the facts concerning what happened to Jesus. If he is the second coming of Jesus he should certainly know what happened to himself?

Note: No where in the Qur’an does it say that nobody killed Jesus. That text is not to be found. The Qur’an says ‘They’ did not kill Jesus.

The camouflaged account of Jesus death.

‘Historically’ we hear that a man named Jesus was put on a “Cross-like structure” and after some time he died.

What we don’t hear in Churches is the first account of the death of Jesus.

We are going to attempt to unravel, insha’Allah, one of the greatest cover-ups in church history!

Christian scholars will unanimously agree that the Gospel writings were after the Epistles. What we find is that the first account of the death of Jesus is played down and opted for the Gospel account.

More exciting than the Davinci Code! Sit tight, buckle up your safety belt, and get your detective gear on. We’re ready to unravel a big Church secret!

Refutation of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad and in reality a refutation of the Ahmadiyyah movement (both Qadiani and Lahori)

Of important note to Muslims will be the fact that there is no historical evidence that Christ Jesus the son of Mary was crucified on a cross.

This is important because of the fact that certain denominations namely the Ahmadiyyah/Qadiani  & Lahori movements have a whole belief system that rests on the necessity of Jesus being on a cross-like structure. After the clear documented evidence of this article is circulated the need for Mirza Ghulam Ahmad’s movement will no longer be necessary insh’Allah.

Examining the so-called ‘historical evidence’ for the “crucifixion” of a man named Jesus Christ.

No mention of a historical Jesus Christ crucified in the Talmud!

All the knowledge which the Rabbis had of Jesus was obtained by them from the Gospels. Seeing that the Jews, even in the present more critical age, take it for granted that the figure of a real man stands behind the Gospel narrative, one need not be surprised if, in the second century, Jews did not think of questioning the assumption. It is certain, however, that some did question it. Justin, in his Dialogue with Trypho, represents the Jew Trypho as saying, “ye follow an empty rumor and make a Christ for yourselves.” If he was born and lived somewhere he is entirely unknown.”

That the writers of the Talmud [ 4th-5th century CE, FRZ] had no independent knowledge of Jesus is proved by the fact they founded him with two different men neither of whom could have been he.

Evidently, no other Jesus with whom they could Identify the Gospel Jesus was known to them. One of these, Jesus ben Pandira, reputed a wonder-worker, is said to have been stoned to death and then hung on a tree on the eve of Passover in the reign of Alexander Lannaeus (106-79), at Jerusalem.

The other, Jesus ben Stada, whose date is uncertain, but who may have lived in the first third of the second century CE, is also said to have been stoned and hanged on the eve of Passover, but at Lydda. There may be some confusion here, but it is plain that the Rabbis had no knowledge of Jesus apart from what they had read in the Gospels.

Comment: One of the greatest bodies of Jewish literature at the time was the Talmud. However, there is nothing in the Talmud about Jesus Christ.

There is, however, two documented cases of a man named Jesus being stoned and hanged.
Do the Christians believe this?
Do the Ahmadiyyah (Qadani or Lahori) believe this?

The forgery of Josephus’s writings.

In the case of Josephus, whose ‘Antiquities of the Jews’ was written in 93 CE, about the same time as the gospels, we find him saying some things quite impossible for a good Pharisee to have said:

About this time there lived Jesus, a wise man if indeed one ought to call him a man For he was one who wrought surprising feats and was a teacher of such people to accept the truth gladly. He won over many Jews and many of the Greeks. He was the Messiah. When Pilate, upon hearing him accused by men of the highest standing amongst us, had condemned him to be crucified, those who had in the first place come to love him did not give up their affection for him. On the third day, he appeared to them restored to life, for the prophets of God had prophesied these and countless other marvelous things about him. And the tribe of the Christians, so-called after him has still to this day not disappeared.”

Source: ( Book 18 chapter 3 of Josephus: Jewish Antiquities Books XVIII-XIX, IX, translated by L. H Feldman, Loeb Classical Library, Harvard University Press, Cambridge, MA, 1981. pp. 48-51)

Comment: The problem with accepting the above text as being credited to Josephus is the hard fact that it’s quite unthinkable for a loyal Pharisaic Jew to say Jesus was the Messiah. Not only this but for Josephus to have supposedly stated that Jesus had been restored to life ‘on the third day’ and not himself become a Christian is also very unlikely. After all, if such ”historic fact” can’t convince the historians of that time why should it convince us?

The fact that Josephus was not convinced by this or any other Christian claim is clear from the statement of the church father Origin ( ca 185-ca 154 CE)-who dealt extensively with Josephus- that Josephus did not believe in Jesus as the Messiah as ‘the Christ’Moreover, the disputed passage was never cited by early Christian apologists such as Clement of Alexandria ( ca 150-ca 215 CE), who certainly would have made use of such ammunition had he had this been true!

In Book 30, Chapter 9 of Antiquities of the Jews one also finds the following statement in surviving manuscripts:
Ananus convened the judges of the Sanhedrin and brought before them a man named James, the brother of Jesus who was called the Christ, and certain others. He accused them of having transgressed the law and delivered them up to be stoned.”
Source: ( Book 30 Chapter 9 Antiquities of the Jews Josephus )

It is quite possible that Josephus actually referred to James the Brother of the Lord. and this was changed By Christian copyist to ‘Brother of Jesus‘- adding then for good measure ‘who was called Christ‘.
(Remember that although Josephus was a Jew,
his text was preserved only by Christians!)

According to William Benjamin Smith’s skeptical classic Ecce Deus, 15 there are still some manuscripts of Josephus which contain the quoted passages, but the passages are absent in other manuscripts-showing that such interpolation had already been taking place before the time of Origen; but did not ever succeed in supplanting the original text universally.

Comment: So much for ‘historical evidence‘ of a Jesus Christ dying on some ‘cross-like structure’.

Now from the sixth hour, there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour… Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. 51 And, Behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent, And the graves opened, and many bodies of the saints which slept arose And came out of the graves after his resurrection (exposed for 3 days?), and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.” (Matthew 27:51-53)

Comment:
Wouldn’t the Greeks and Romans
have noticed-and recorded– such darkness occurring at a time of the month when a solar eclipse was impossible? Wouldn’t someone have remembered-and recorded the name of at least one of those ‘saints’ who climbed out of the grave and went wandering downtown in the mall? This is too huge of an event to be left unnoticed and unrecorded by historians. For us not to have one shred of evidence of this incident from the Romans and Greeks living in the vicinity is simply quite incredible!

In fact, a well known Christian apologist, who has debated skeptics and Muslims alike, Dr. Mike Licona himself did not believe that such an event took place.

This was a huge controversy among evangelicals in the United States. It evoked a strong response like the one we see here:

http://normangeisler.com/mike-licona-on-inerrancy-its-worse-than-we-originally-thought/

This is just one paragraph of the strong rebuke that other Christian apologists had for Dr. Mike Licona speaking his heart and mind about the matter.

“Second, another noted SBC leader, Dr. Al Mohler, spoke out against Licona’s view on his web site, concluding, that in his treatment of the Matthew 27 text that “Licona has handed the enemies of the resurrection of Jesus Christ a powerful weapon — the concession that some of the material reported by Matthew in the very chapter in which he reports the resurrection of Christ simply did not happen and should be understood as merely ‘poetic device’ and ‘special effects’….  He needs to rethink the question he asked himself in his book — ‘If some or all of the phenomena reported at Jesus’ death are poetic devices, we may rightly ask whether Jesus’ resurrection is not more of the same?’…. He asked precisely the right question, but then he gave the wrong answer….”  Mohler added, “It is not enough to affirm biblical inerrancy in principle. The devil, as they say, is in the details. That is what makes The Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy so indispensable and this controversy over Licona’s book so urgent. It is not enough to affirm biblical inerrancy in general terms. The integrity of this affirmation depends upon the affirmation of inerrancy in every detailed sense” (www.AlbertMohler.com, emphasis added).”

Considering now the supposed evidence of Tacitus, we find that this Roman historian is alleged in 120 CE to have written a passage in his Annals ( Bk 15, Ch 44, containing the wild tale of Nero’s persecution of Christians) saying, “Therefore, to scotch the rumor, Nero substituted as culprits, and punished with the utmost refinements of cruelty, a class of men, loathed for their vices, whom the crowd styled Christians. Christus, the founder of the name, had undergone the death penalty in the reign of Tiberius, by sentence of the procurator Pontius Pilatus…

Source: (Annals Book 15 Chapter 44 Tacitus)

G.A Wells ( p.16) says of this passage:

“Tacitus wrote at a time when Christians themselves had come to believe that Jesus had suffered under Pilate. There are three reasons for holding that Tacitus is here simply repeating what Christians told him.

First, he gives Pilate a title, procurator (without saying procurator of what.), which was current only from the second half of the first century. Had he consulted archives which recorded earlier events, he would have surely have found Pilate there designated by his correct title, prefect.

Second, Tacitus does not name the executed man Jesus but uses the title Christ (Messiah) as if it were a proper name. But he could hardly have found in archives a statement such as the Messiah was executed this morning!

Third, hostile to Christianity as he was, he was sure glad to accept from Christians their own view that Christianity was of recent origin since the Roman authorities were prepared to tolerate only ancient cults.
Source: (The Historical Evidence for Jesus; p 16)

Comment: So Tacitus was only parroting what Christians during his time were saying. Tacitus did not get his facts straight for the simple fact that he called Pilate procurator and not prefect.
The very strong fact that there would have been no archives saying the “
Messiah was executed this morning” drives home the point.  We have to accept that just as historians today can be corrected by other historians the same may be said of Tacitus.

Clement of Alexander who made a profession of collecting just such types of quotations, is ignorant of any Neronian persecution, and even Tertullian, who quotes a great deal from Tacitus, knows nothing of the story! According to Robert Taylor, the author of another free thought classic, the Diegesis (1834), the passage was not known before the fifteenth century, when Tacitus was first published at Venice By Johannes de Spire. Taylor believed de Spire himself to have been the forger.

John E Remsburg in his classic book The Christ: A Critical Review and Analysis of the Evidence of His Existence

(The Truth Seeker Company, NY, p.24-25), list the following writers who lived during the time, or within a century after the time, that Jesus is supposed to have lived:
Josephus
Philo-Iudaeus
Seneca
Pliny Elder
Arrian
Petronius
Dion Pruseus
Paterculus
Suetonius
Juvenal
Martial
Persius
Plutarch
Pliny Younger
Tacitus
Justus of Tiberius
Apollonius
Quintilian
Lucanus
Epictetus
Hermogones Silius Italicus
Statius
Ptolemy
Appian
Phlegon
Phaedrus
Valerius Maximus
Lucian
Pausanias
Florus Lucius
Quintius Curtius
Aulus Gellius
Dio Chrysostom
Columella
Valerius Flaccus
Damis
Flavorinus
Lysias
Pomponius Mela
Appion of Alexandria
Theon of Smyrna

Enough of the writings of the authors named in the foregoing list remains to form a library. Yet in this mass of Jewish and Pagan literature, aside from two forged passages in the works of a Jewish author, and two disputed passages in the works of Roman writers, there is to be found no mention of Jesus Christ Nor, we may add, do any of these authors make note of the Disciples or Apostles-increasing the embarrassment from the silence of history concerning the foundation of Christianity.

Comment: This is indeed a very shaky ground for the Christians and the Ahmadiyyah movement (both Qadiani and Lahori) to place their faith in. They have absolutely no historical evidence that a man named Jesus Christ was crucified. The so-called ‘evidence‘ they do have is very much subject to debate not historic fact!

  1. This is evidence enough that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was not a prophet of Allah (swt).
  2. Paul did not believe that Christ Jesus died on a Cross!
  3. Paul says, “For I determine not to know anything among you save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” ( 1st Corinthians 2:2)
  4. Now let’s take a look at the Greek text…

Question: What does the word cross or ‘crucify’ mean?

Answer: stauros (4716) denotes, primarily, an upright pole or stake. on such malefactors were nailed for execution. Both the noun and the verb stauroo, to fasten to a stake or pale, are originally to be distinguished from the ecclesiastical form of a two beamed cross. The shape of the latter had its origin in ancient chaldea, and was used as the symbol of the god Tammuz(being in the shape of the mystic Tau, the initial of his name) in that country and in adjacent lands, including Egypt. By the middle of the 3rd cent. A.D. the churches had either departed from. or had travestied, certain doctrines of the Christian faith. In order to increase the prestige of the apostate ecclesiastical system, pagans were received into the churches apart from regeneration by faith and were permitted largely to retain their pagan signs and symbols. Hence the tau or T, in it’s most frequent form, with the cross-piece lowered, was adopted to stand for the cross of Christ.
Source: (Vine’s Concise Dictionary of Bible Words W.E. Vine pg.77 under discussion Cross, Crucify)

THE CAT IS OUT OF THE BAG!

It said: ‘the cross piece the mystic Tau ‘T’ had its cross piece
LOWERED and ADOPTED TO STAND FOR THE CROSS OF CHRIST
So now instead of the original ‘T’ you now have the following: a “+” a plus-style cross.

Question: What is the Christian reaction?
What do the Christians both the Catholic and Catholic Protestants-
(Baptist, Methodist, Lutherans) say when you tell them this?

Answer:
Oh Praise God!” “We know that December 25th is not the birthday of Jesus but Praise God we will celebrate it as such anyway!

We have no interest in being honest and we will continue to tell the world December 25th is his birthday because our parents celebrated it as such.

Praise Jesus!” “We know that the ‘t’ symbol is not accurate according to history, and we know it’s a pagan symbol but we will continue to use it anyway because our parents used it.

Allah responds to such people…

When it is said to them: “Follow what Allah hath revealed:” they say: “Nay! we shall follow the ways of our fathers:” what! even though their fathers Were void of wisdom and guidance! (Qur’an 2:170)

THE GREAT CHURCH COVER-UP CONTINUED:

Instead of teaching that Jesus was slain and his corpse was displayed in a tree, the narrative is now switched to say a live person was put on the cross, and after some time he died. Thus, the first account is played down.
Recall what Allah said in the Qur’an 4:157
“and they killed him not, nor did they impail him.

And they killed him not….

Question: What is the first account of the alleged ‘death‘ of Jesus?

Note: The following quotations are from the King James Version of the Bible, as the Christians have caught on and so in many Bible translations they will try and play with the translation of the original Greek text so as not to let the cat out of the bag.

Answer:
The first account ACTS 5:30
“The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you
slew AND hanged on a tree.”

Also ACTS 10:39
“And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they
slew ANDhanged on a tree.”

And still ACTS 13:29
“And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the TREE, AND laid him in a sepulcher.”

1ST PETER 2:24
“Who his own self bare our sins in
His own body on the TREE, that we being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed.”

GALATIANS 3:13
“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, cursed is every one that hangeth on a TREE.”
(This is the text, that will come back to haunt the Christians.)

Note: the above-mentioned verse is written in
Deuteronomy 21:22-23 were the person was hung in an actual TREE!

DEUTERONOMY 21:22-23
If a man guilty of a capital offense is put to death AND his corpse hung on a tree, it shall not remain on the tree overnight. You shall bury it the same day, otherwise, since God’s curse rest on him who hangs on a tree, you will defile the land which the Lord, your God is giving you as an inheritance.”

‘Hung on a tree’ some understand this as ‘impaled on a stake.’

In any case, the hanging or impaling was not the means used to execute the criminal; he was first put to death by the ordinary means, stoning, and his corpse was then exposed on high as a salutary warning for others.”
Source: (New American Bible pg. 180 commentaries on Deuteronomy 21)

Examples of those hung on a tree from the TNCH

JOSHUA 8:29
“And the king of Ai he
hanged on a TREE until eventide: and as soon as the sun was down, Joshua commanded that they should take his carcass down from the TREE, and cast it at the entering of the gate of the city, and raise thereon a great heap of stones, that remains unto this day.”

JOSHUA 10:26-27
“ Thereupon Joshua struck and killed them, and hanged them on five trees, where they remained hanging until evening. At sunset they were removed from the trees at the command of Joshua and cast into the cave where they had hidden; over the mouth of the cave large stones were placed, which remain until this very day.”

Comment: In the above passages the guilty party was put to death first, and then displayed in a tree. reflect again on the following passage.

ACTS 5:30 (King James Version)
“The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you slew and hanged on a tree.”

Who Should Be Blamed for the ‘death‘ of Jesus?

In the above-mentioned passages, in Acts 5:30, the Jewish Sanhedrin is addressed.
Also in Acts 10:39 and Acts 13:29 The Jews, Not the Romans, killed Jesus!

Proof that the Jews are blamed for the ‘death’ of Jesus is in this following anti-Jewish text.

1st Thessalonians 2:14-15
“The Jews who both killed our Lord Jesus and the prophets!” (Anti-Judaism proof text?)

However, we know that Allah (swt) has refuted the claim that the Jews killed Jesus.

“They(the Jews) didn’t kill him, nor did they (the Jews) impail him, but it was made to appear to them(the Jews) so.” (Qur’an 4:157)

Comment: In the Gospels (translations)  you see the word cross, cross, cross. Also in the Gospels, the Romans not the Jews killed Jesus.

However, when you read the Epistles and writings you see the word tree, tree, tree. And as you see above the Jews, not the Romans killed Jesus.

Question: Could the Jews have killed Jesus?
Answer: No! The Jewish method of execution was stoning and impailing and not crucifixion.

THE JEWISH METHOD OF EXECUTION

The Place of stoning was twice the height of a man. One of the witnesses knocked him down on his loins, if he turned over on his heart the witness turned him over again on his loins. If he straightaway died that sufficed; but if not, the second took the stone and dropped it on his heart. If he straight away died, that sufficed; but if not, he was stoned by all Israel, for it is written, The hand of the witnesses shall all be first upon him to put him to death and afterward all the hand of all the people. All that has been stoned must be hanged. So R. Eliezer. But the Sages say: A man is hanged but a woman is not hanged. R. Eliezer said to them: Did not Simeon ben Sheta hang women in Ashkelon?

They answered: He hanged eighty women, whereas two ought not to be judged in one day. How did he hang a man? They put a beam into the ground and a piece of wood jutted from it. The two hands were brought together and it was hanged. R. Jose says; The beam was made to lean against a wall and one hanged the corpse therein as butchers do. And they let it down at once, if it remained there overnight a negative command is thereby transgressed, for it is written, His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shall surely bury him the same day; for he that is hanged is a curse against God; as if to say, Why was this one hanged? Because he blessed the Name, and the Name of Heaven was found profaned.

We find this in Leviticus 20:2
“Again, you shall say to the children of Israel, whosoever he is of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that gives any of his seed unto Molech, he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones.”
(See Also: Deuteronomy 13:10 and Deuteronomy 17:15)

Under Rabbinical law the normal method of execution is stoning and then displaying in a TREE (the corpse is displayed in a TREE.)

“And if a man has committed a sin worthy of death, and he is put to death, and you hang him on a TREE: his body shall not remain all night upon the TREE, but you shall in any wise bury him that day; that thy land is not defiled, which the Lord thy God gives thee for an inheritance.” (Deuteronomy21:22-23

Comment:
If the Jews killed Jesus and not the Romans there could be no crucifixion Why?

Because the Jews would have gone against their teaching.

Question: Did the Jews have the power to execute people?
Answer: Yes!

The gospel of John indicates that the Sanhedrin turned Jesus over to Pilate because it lacked the power to impose death: “Pilate said to them. “Take him yourselves and judge him according to your law.” The Jews replied. “We are not permitted to put anyone to death.” The Mishnah, however, clearly shows that the Sanhedrin did have the power to impose death for certain crimes at least sometime before 200 C.E.

In particular, Mishnah Sanhedrin 6.1 to 6.4 specify the procedures for stoning. There is no evidence to suggest that the power did not exist in 30 C.E On the contrary, there is evidence that the Romans preferred to leave as much power as possible to control religion to question whether in fact, that was the charge against Jesus. If it is assumed to be the charge, however, Mishnah Tractate 7.4 makes clear that execution by stoning was an available option for such a crime.

The Killing of Stephen

“Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God. And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him, and caught him, and brought him to the council.”
(Acts 6:11)

Question: What was Jesus charged with?

Answer:

Then the high priest rent his clothes, and said, What need we any further witnesses? You have heard the blasphemy: What do you think? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death. ( Mark 14:63-64)

(What is the charge? blasphemy!)

Question: What is the punishment for blasphemy?
Answer: Stoning to death

LEVITICUS 24:16
“And he that blasphemy the name of the Lord, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemy the name of the Lord, shall be put to death.”
Next, The Body of the person would be displayed in a tree.

What about this word tree? (Jehovah’s Witnesses like to say “torture stake”)

So some commentators will try and tell us that yes ‘it is a tree’ because you use the tree to make the Torture Stake, Cross, Platform, or Board.

Torture Stake, Cross, Platform, or Board, All of them are wrong!

Question: What is the Greek word for wood that is living?
Answer:
The Greek word
xulon literally means wood (xulon) For TREE. It is frequently used to describe the Living wood of a tree and not the deadwood of a stake or cross.
Example: (Living wood= Xulon)

Revelation 22:2
“There the Tree of life, which bare twelve manners of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and leaves of the Tree were for the healing of the nations.” (Here the Greek word XULON is used for Tree.)

other examples:

Revelation 22:14
“Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city.”

Revelation 22:19
“…And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which is written in this book.”

This same word Xulon is used in the Bible in contrast with the Greek word for dry wood. The Greek word for dry wood is (xeron). This word is used for stakes and dry wood.
Example of where the word xulon is contrasted with the word xeron.

Luke 23:31
“If they do these things in the green tree what will they do in the dry?”

Questions:
Do you find xulon in the Gospel?
Answer: No we don’t!

Why is the word ‘xulon’ now replaced with ‘staurous’
(upright pole, stake, etc)???

Where in the Gospel do you find HANGED and put on the TREE?
Obviously, there are some questions that need answering.

Three separate crosses or one tree?

John 19:31
“Now since it was preparation day, in order that the bodies might not remain on the cross on the sabbath, for the sabbath day of that week was a solemn one, the Jews asked Pilate that their legs are broken and they be taken down.” (New American Bible)

Wait! Does the above passage say that the ‘bodies’ may not remain on the cross’? Just how many people were on that ‘cross’?
A careful study of the New Testament (translations) will tell us that they (the criminals) were crucified on separate crosses! Oh! But you thought it was a historic fact right? That’s what my Church taught me too!

Oh, wait! What about this passage?
Luke 23:33(New International Version)
“When they came to the place called the Skull, there they
crucified him, along with the criminals—one on his right, the other on his left.”

However; does this say that these people were put on two different crosses? No! Only one conclusion remains: They were all three put together on one Tree!

How did Jesus’ body become accursed?

Answer: By being hung on a tree.

Galatians 3:13
“For it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a TREE.”
(This is written in Deuteronomy 21:22-23.)

Deuteronomy 21:22-23
“You
put him to death AND then you hang him up in a TREE and his body shall not remain all night on the TREE. You shall bury him the same day. For he that is hanged is accursed of God.”

Question: Is Jesus accursed?

Answer: No!
Accursed has reference to the state of one’s heart. This is not something to attribute to a messenger of Allah. That is why we as Muslims say, “authubillahi minash Shaitanir rajeem”. (I seek refuge and protection in Allah from Satan the rejected.)

Why take the body down before nightfall?
This curse becomes infectious, extending even unto the land.

Example…

“And he said, What have you done? The voice of thy brother’s blood cries unto me from the ground. And now are you cursed from the earth, which has opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from your hand.” (Genesis 4:11-12)

The strongest evidence against Jesus being crucified to death is Galatians 3:13.
This means literally hung on the TREE. Jesus’ body became accursed, destroying the law. Paul says Jesus redeemed you from the law.

Question? Did Jesus commit a sin worthy of death?

And if a man has committed a sin worthy of death, and he is put to death, and you hang him on a TREE: his body shall not remain all night upon the TREE, but you shall in any wise bury him that day; that thy land is not defiled, which the Lord thy God gives thee for an inheritance.” (Deuteronomy 21:22-23)

If the answer is yes: Than Jesus is not an unblemished sacrifice!
If the answer is no: Than Jesus is obviously not accursed as he is not guilty of sin and thus never lifted anyone from any law! God obviously knows who is guilty and who is not.

Paul said above in Galatians 3:13 that Jesus became a curse for us. (May Allah forgive me for even typing such filth.)

Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:3)

If no one speaking ‘by the Spirit of God’ calls Jesus accursed I wonder what spirit motivated Paul to make such a statement?

The outcome of the answers to these questions will be obvious, so I think it’s time to start studying some law again. And quite frankly speaking to take a look at the Qur’an!

The Church has been exposed for trying to dupe the Christian masses. The best ‘evidence’ the Church has for anyone even remotely close to Christ Jesus being put on a cross(of any kind) are Jewish sources, that talk about a sorcerer named Jesus being stoned to death, and hung on a tree.

The adherents of the Ahmadiyyah sect (both Lahori and Qadiani)  also need to reconsider their position about the so-called ‘historical’ ‘accuracy’ of Jesus being put on a cross in light of the above evidence. Not only this they need to reconsider the huge blunder that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad has made. This explodes the myth that he was the Mahdi or the Messiah!

In actuality, the Ahmadiyyah sects need Jesus to be on the cross as much as the Christians do!

Why?

Because as demonstrated Christians (such as the Jehovah’s Witness) can keep the faith intact without the need for Jesus to have ‘died‘ on a ‘cross-like structure‘.  However, since Mirza Ghulam Ahmad claimed to be a prophet (at least according to the Ahmadiyyah Qadiani) it is necessary for Jesus to have been on a cross; or else the founder of their religion would have made a huge blunder.

The more you research this on your own the more you will find one of the greatest cover-ups in Christian history!

May Allah (swt) guide us all to the truth! Amin!

Isa peace be upon him was taken to heaven right?

    • Bismillah,

This is in response to allahisone

Your question: “Isa peace be upon him was taken to heaven right?”

      My response:
Jesus is dead (physically) and as he was a martyr or shaheed he is in a realm/place that we cannot perceive with human eyes or physical instruments.

Jesus also will not be returning.

I will write more on this in the future Allah-willing

In the late 1890’s Ahmad said that Isa ( Jesus) had died a natural death and was not alive in the heavens, this provoked a firestorm of opposition. THis was from Quran interpretation but also from revelation. Even former Head of Al-Azhar Mahmud Shaltut, agreed with this interpretation in the 1960′ and wrote piece. He Ahmad fulfilled that promise made in surah al-Jumah –
    Anyways there is a reason that Ahmadiyya interpretation will eventually win the day – it fits the Quran, spirituality, reason , logic and continues to have the support of God. Small wonder it has produced the greatest Modern Muslim Scientist in the Nobel Laurette Abdus Salam and greatest stateman in Muhammad Zafrulla Khan former head of UN Gen Assembly Champion of Muslim countries independene movt and President of World Court Justice at the Hague . And yet it is in the connection to Allah, belief in Muhammad and his message and the supremacy of the Quran and his showing of signs that sparked this renaissance of Islam. See the Arabic website.       mirza ghulam qadiani alleged that he is mentioned in the Quran;
“If Quran did not give me the name of Ibn-e-Mariam, then I am a liar”. [a gift of an-nadwah page 19]

also mirza ghulam alleged that qadian is mentioned in the Quran [tadhkira page 94 and 95]

so obviously the imposter mirza ghulam was a liar. lets not forget the disgraceful death of mirza…..

lets not forget what God says: “And who can be more unjust than he who invents a lie against God, or says: “I have received inspiration,” whereas he is not inspired in anything; and who says, “I will reveal the like of what God has revealed.” And if you could but see when the wrong-doers are in the agonies of death, while the angels are stretching forth their hands (saying): “Deliver your soul! This day you shall be recompensed with the torment of degradation because of what you used to utter against God other than the truth. And you used to reject His signs (revelations) with disrespect!” (Quran 6:93)

      mirza alleged to be second coming of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and also mirza wrote poetry which contradicts the Quran;

“And We did not give Prophet Muhammad, knowledge of poetry, nor is it befitting for him. It is not but a message and a clear Qur’an” [Quran 36:69]

      mirza ghulam qadiani also written;
“You are to Me like My Unity and My Uniqueness. Therefore, the time is approaching when you will be helped and will be made wellknown
in the world. You are to Me like My Throne. You are to Me like My son”
English Online Tadhkhirah Book page.860 PDF page.880

“You are to Me like my progeny”
English Online Tadhkhirah Book page.510 PDF page.530 footnote

“In a vision, I saw God Almighty personified as a human being. He put His arm round my neck”
English Online Tadhkhirah Book page.609 PDF page.629

its clear that the founder of qadianism mirza ghulam of qadian contradicts even the most basic teaching of Islam (tawheed). Thus mirza ghulam qadiani was a dajjal and polythiest.

      now lets see what the Quran states;
“No vision can grasp Him, but His Grasp is over all vision. He is the Most Subtle and Courteous, Well-Acquainted with all things. ” [Quran ch 6 vs 103]

    • Thank you Mike.

The above article is enough proof to show that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was not a prophet and was mistaken. As the ‘cross’ is not even a historical reality.

  4. Good morning! I love your research, but thoroughly disagree. If JC’s death and ressurection were a fraud, why wouldn’t Rome and the Sanhedrin crush His following? Further, why would all his disciplines minus one die a martyr’s death for a hoax? Thanks for your thoughts!

    • Good morning to you. Thank you so very much. You are welcome to disagree as you like. After reading works such as “Jesus Outside the New Testament: An Introduction to the Ancient Evidence” by Robert e.Van Voorst among other such writings I was not convinced. When I used to focus on Muslim-Christian polemics, and apologetics I had some write ups of a refutation of that particular writing. Also, as it has been some time since I have responded to you if you respond to my response (wait does that make sense in my head?) lol. Well, if you respond to this I will give you a very good piece that I believe addresses the question of people “dying for a hoax” and the supposed martyrdom of the disciples etc…

      Thank you for your comment.

    Awesome and beneficial article.

    جزاك الله خيرا

“I had done this entry before in another web site in which I was dealing primarily with Christian-Muslim apologetic.

    Is this website still available?

    • No it is not respected brother. I primarily dealt with Christian soteriology in particular Calvinist and Arminian. I had a collection of all debates between Christians and Muslims (with commentary). I responded to and interacted with James White of Alpha and Omega Ministries, among other polemics directed towards Islam and Muslims.

  8. I still don’t know your exact view on what happened to Isa(A.s)

    who killed him?..

Was he killed by the jews then hung on a tree?
or did the romans impale him or..

i’m kinda confused, cloud you clarify your position on this?
also do you know any ibadi scholar that’s spoken on this?

    JazaKallah Khayran.

    • My view is that Jesus died as a shaheed. (Martyr) He was impailed by the Roman imperium after he completed his mission.

The Ibadi scholars are content with the position that Jesus is dead and is not returning.

As far as getting into the specifics of 4:157 nothing that I am currently aware of. There is so much of our literature that is lost.
