This is a subject that evokes a gamut of thoughts, responses and emotions. Some of these thoughts and discussions center around conspiracy theories, the realm of what could or could be, pensive reflection and the downright silly.
Nonetheless, it is something we feel compelled to write about given recent events. Events should, by right, garner more interest and attention than what is currently being received. Humanity seems almost in a trance-like state.

We would encourage the readers to see the various translations of this verse into English. It is a rare occasion on which we would praise Muhsin Khan & Muhammad al-Hilali. Yet truth be told, their translation of Alameen as basically, “all that exists” really sums up the essence of what that word really means.
“All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the Alameen (mankind, jinns and all that exists)” – (Qur’an 1:2) -Muhsin Khan & Muhammed al-Hilali translation.
Another fascinating and praise-worthy translation of that verse is the one we have used for the opening of this post. That comes from my dear friend and respected brother, Fadel Soliman and the Bridges Foundation.

These translations are correct in that not only is Allah (swt) the Lord of all the “worlds” but everything that exists. In all realms, dimensions, the whole of all that is.
The point here is that if it was suddenly announced that there exist extra terrestrials* or extra-dimensional beings, this would not pose a problem for Islamic theology at all. The fact is that the Qur’an itself mentions beings such as angels and jinn before humanity.
However, certain faiths center their salvation around the “fall and redemption of mankind” and, as such, they would feel very threatened by such a revelation. This is why those who follow certain trends among Christians have already planted seeds in the populace that such beings would be “fallen angels” , “demons” or just downright “deceivers”.
*Extra Terrestrial definition: extra=meaning outside and terrestrial (having in common the word origin of terra firma meaning solid ground, or earth.
These beings would be in a 3D-based platform like we human beings are. They could vary in size, shape and proportion or have a very different evolutionary trajectory than what we have had. Yet, they would be tangible.
An Extra Dimensional being would be a being that exists outside the current standard model used by science known as General Relativity. Also, in theoretical particle physics, the current standard model is that the entirety of the known Universe can be adequately described in three spatial and one time dimensions. Thus, 4 dimensions.
Any entity or being discovered beyond this would shatter that model and this is why science itself is preparing for that possibility with theoretical physics such as string theory, multi-verse theory and so forth. The work being done at the Hadron Collider in Switzerland also assist in thesis papers that try to argue these points.
There are too many pressing challenges facing humanity and the Muslim ummah at large for any of our ‘ulemah to take this discussion seriously. Which is unfortunate.
There are two possible shifts that would happen in the Muslim ummah.
- The vast majority of Muslims do not believe in either of the two more common competing models of evolution; that being Lamarckian or Darwinian evolution. They completely rule out that any model of evolution as proposed by science was involved in the creation of humanity.
- There are Muslims who believe the belief in a model of evolution does not preclude humanity being a special creation of Allah (swt).
We would suppose that if we discovered extra-dimensional beings, this would bolster the position of proposition 2. If we discover other 3D-based life forms, this would bolster the position of proposition 1.
The other would be a possible seismic shift in the tafsir and understanding of the following verse:
“Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and then We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe?” (Qur’an 21:30)
In the current mode of life, science currently concurs with current tafsir (commentary of this verse). In fact, if it holds true that any extra terrestrial 3D lifeforms we encounter is made from water, it would be a powerful testimony to the Qur’an.
However, should there be life forms found not created by water, but created from hydrogen or oxygen, then this would still be fascinating as water is composed of 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atom.
Hydrogen itself is said to account for 73 to 75% of all matter in the current visible universe.
Allah (swt) has already mentioned in the Qur’an that he has created beings from photons or the electromagnetic field, what we commonly call, “Light”.
‘Aishah (r.a) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, “Angels were created from light, Jinn were created from a smokeless flame of fire, and ‘Adam was created from that which you have been told (i.e., sounding clay like the clay of pottery).”
“And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.” (Qur’an 55:15)
This Arabic word marjin, in our view, is best translated as plasma. That the jinn are plasma-based life forms.
Plasma-based lifeforms are a hypothetical life form taken seriously by astrobiologists. It makes up 99% of visible matter in the known universe.
“Oh assembly of jinn and humans! If you can penetrate beyond the realms of the heavens and the earth, then do so. ˹But˺ you cannot do that without ˹Our˺ authority.” (Qur’an 55:33)
“On that Day there will be no need for any human or jinn to be asked about their sins.” (Qur’an 55:39)
We have always found verse 33 of Surah Ar Rahman to be very interesting. It is always assumed by us Muslims that Jinn are intangible beings (and possibly this is still true) yet, it puzzles us: why would an intangible being having a challenge to pass beyond the heavens and the earth?
So, Jinn may actually be a generic term that refers to a confederation of life forms. Plasma-based lifeforms that are both tangible and non-tangible.
It maybe that the Jinn are a life form that would still require a power/technology to transit through the heavens and the earth.
In summary, the Qur’an has described other forms of intelligent or sentient beings that are not necessarily made from water.
“Allah! There is no god except Him, the Ever-Living, All-Sustaining.” (Qur’an 2:255)
Allah (swt) himself, is described as the Ever-Living and the Self-Sustaining. No one is going to argue that Allah (swt) is made out of water.
The point being, there are plenty of tools available to our ‘ulemah to interpret in the Qur’an with regard to what is living and what is not living.
What other life forms exist? Both water (hydrogen/oxygen) based and not?
The Gaia -Hypothesis:
The Gaia hypothesis, also known as Gaia theory or Gaia principle, proposes that all organisms and their inorganic surroundings on Earth are closely integrated to form a single and self-regulating complex system, maintaining the conditions for life on the planet.

This belief also helps to power the views of much of the New Age Movement. One could argue that this view permeates the belief of many tribal cultures, also known as animism.
Yet, this view or perspective would be nothing new or shocking. We (humans) are part of Gaia ourselves, we are not extraterrestrial nor aliens. We are not talking about bipedal beings from off world or other 3D-based sentient life forms.
Von Neumann Probe(s)
A von Neumann probe is a hypothetical space faring probe designed to self-replicate using raw materials found in any star system. Self-replicating machines would use technology to continue to rebuild themselves using the material they found in solar systems.
What is interesting is that this would most likely be our “first contact” with another sentient civilization. We as humans ourselves send probes like Voyager and others into space. They are sent to analyze and collect data and even samples from planets like Mars. The Von Neumann probes would be a great deal more advanced than those sent out by us. We ourselves may not be far off from developing such technology.
In fact, the Pentagon had announced a jaw-dropping claim.
In fact, the man who published the paper on behalf of the Pentagon, one Avi Loeb, chairman of Harvard University’s astronomy department, believes that we have been visited by such a Von Neumann probe very recently.
It is possible that another sentient civilization, with more advanced technology, has sent out such probes, just as we have. Think about the various models of cars that different nations on Earth have produced. Some are better than others. Or think about the various operating systems, or programming languages, some are certainly better than others.
Yet, when all is said and done. Self-replicating machines themselves had to have a designer or a creator. Who or what are they? Finding a Von Neumann probe does not rule out that such entities were created from water, or, at the very least, that hydrogen or oxygen were not part of their creation.

ICHELLS — Living beings created from metal (non-carbon-based lifeforms)
In reality, this is a pushback against the idea of all life being based upon Carbon.
A champion for this idea is Professor Lee Cronin, Gradiner Chair of Chemistry at the College of Science and Engineering of the University of Glasgow. He and his team have a goal to create living cells out of metal. However, to be fair, he wants us to really think about what is living.
Because in a recent Ted Talk he stated:
“I propose to you that matter that can evolve is alive and this gives us the idea of making evolvable matter.”
He used polyoxometalates, a range of metal atoms linked to oxygen and phosphorus, to create cell-like bubbles that he calls inorganic-chemical-cells or iCHELLs.
There were a couple highlights we took from his informative talk.
The Problem with Origin
“We can’t get further than the last ancestor, the last visible cell. That we could sequence or think back in history. So we don’t know how we got here.”
So there are two options:
Professor Lee Cronin seems distressed by the idea of intelligent design.
Intelligent design would be either:
- God/Allah. Currently defined by people like him as the supranatural.
- Sentient beings like Professor Cronin do on a larger scale what Professor Cronin is trying to do on a small scale.
He doesn’t seem to like this idea. So he proposes the emergence of chemical complexity. He states:
“The other thing we need to think about is the emergency of chemical complexity. This SEEMS most likely. So we have SOMEKIND of primordial soup. And this one happens to be a good source of all 20 amino acids. And SOMEHOW these Amino acids are combined, and life begins.”
“And we’re really becoming very close to understanding the key steps that makes dead stuff come alive. And again, when you’re thinking about how improbable this is, remember, five billion years ago….”
It is interesting that people like Carl Sagan and Professor Cronin think about the chauvinism of carbon being the only basis for life. Yet, you wonder why they posit God as the supra natural.
Ultimately, Professor Cronin and those who champion the ICHELLS will be challenged by yet another branch of science. Physics now enter the room.

Molecules to iCHELLS: (Inorganic Chemical Cells)
“And this movie here shows this COMPETITION between molecules. Molecules are COMPETING for stuff.
They’re all made of the same stuff but THEY WANT THEIR SHAPE TO WIN. THEY WANT THEIR SHAPE TO PERSIST and that is the key. If we can SOME HOW ENCOURAGE these molecules TO TALK to each other and MAKE THE RIGHT SHAPES and compete; they will start to form cells that will replicate and compete. If we manage to do that, FORGET THE MOLECULAR DETAIL. Let’s zoom out what that could mean?”
Now there is lots to unpack from this. A physicist, indeed a keen eye who would be interested in these choices of words? Do molecules actually compete? Do they have a type of sentience in which they want their shapes to win? Or does an outside force “WE” somehow encourage them to communicate and make the RIGHT shapes (as opposed to the wrong shapes)?
Hence, the need to “FORGET THE Molecular DETAIL.” Notice that, at least for Professor Cronin, he doesn’t want to get to the big picture (grand scheme) nor, in reality, the minutia (molecular detail). Let us just stay focused on the middle (what is now).
Because at what point do you not just say all of existence is alive and living. (Pantheism enters the room). Physicists also challenge the idea of whether matter truly exists or if it is simply a perception.
“He brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living and brings to life the earth after its lifelessness. And thus will you be brought out.” (Qur’an 30:19)
Though our commentary has been distracted by matters of theology and picking apart some of the ideas behind what is being stated, nonetheless, if Professor Cronin or others are successful, what they will do is show us that the odds of life forming elsewhere in the universe has greatly increased, as the building blocks do not need to be restricted to carbon.
Life forms based upon silicon, Methanogens, boron, arsenic, ammonia & sulfur
Basically, all these life forms are alternatives to carbon-based life forms. They are hypothetical life forms that evolve to become sentient, or even star-faring species. The ICHELLS received separate treatment due to the intriguing nature of metal evolving into a sentient species.
Memetic Life.
This idea is championed by famed atheist Richard Dawkins and taken further by George Van Driem.
Van Driem believes in a philosophy known as symbiosis. It has much to do with the theory of language.
In the Leiden school, a school of thought in linguistics that models languages as memes or bening neurological parasites.
Language itself is an organism. Language is a symbiotic organism. The idea goes as this. In the past two and half million years, humanity has acquired a genetic predisposition to serve as a host for this symbiont.
The more you read up on this, the more you realize what is being argued is not a life form that can be detected by a tool or instrument. Only a theoretical organism or entity of which only its impact
can be studied, or measured with tools and instruments, i.e. language.

Cosmic necklace-based life.
The argument that highly advanced lifeforms may have evolved out of theoretical cosmic strings.
This is really a theory based upon another theory (cosmic strings).

Scientist and nanotechnologist, Robert A, Jr. who was awarded the Feynman Prize in theoretical nanotechnology and was the first to publish a detailed technical design study of a medical nanorobot ever published in a mainstream peer-reviewed journal, has had this to say:
“Gravitational creatures could also exist, as gravity is the most common and efficient fundamental force in the universe. He has stated that possible metabolisms for living systems are based on the four fundamental forces—electromagnetism, strong nuclear force (or quantum chromodynamics), weak nuclear force, and gravity.
Electromagnetic life is the standard biological life found on Earth as well as alien biological configurations and machine-based life-forms.
Chromodynamic beings or lifeforms that form in Neutron stars.
“Chromodynamic life might be possible based on the strong nuclear force, which is the strongest of the fundamental forces, but only over extremely short distances. He suggests that such an environment is possible on a neutron star, a heavy, spinning object 10–20 kilometers (6–12 mi) in diameter with the mass of a star. Under such a theory a possible intelligent and sentient life force would arise rather quickly. Nuclear interactions occur much faster than atomic chemistry. Such a theoretical life form could go from simple tools to advanced technology in the equivalent of one earth month.
Plasma-based life forms.
“Organic life on Earth is based on carbon compound molecules, and we have already discussed several biological alternatives to carbon. But in 2007, an international team led by V.N. The discovery of some life forms could be a double-edged sword for us as believers?
Weak nuclear forces, gravitational or chromodynamic life forms are a double-edged sword for us as believers.
In a sense, the discovery of such entities (if real or possible) would have to humble the skeptics of Angels and Jinn. On the other hand, it is a double-edged sword. The reason being is that skeptics and atheists could have a basis to say that angels, jinn and other non-corporeal entities were, and have been in fact all this while, a Chromodynamic life form. You could even see someone like Richard Dawkins say that religion was created by a being created from weak nuclear force as some kind of cosmic joke on humanity.
These are the kind of attacks we would possibly have to endure.
The Sirius Star and The Qur’an.
Allah (swt) is the Lord of the Sirius star.
“And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius.” (Qur’an 53:49)
Some Muslims have posited that this verse has a mathematical code that refers to it being a binary star. It is interesting that out of all the stars known to the Arabs in the time of the Blessed Messenger (saw), Allah (swt) has singled out this star. Allah (swt) could have mentioned Alderbaran, Algebar, Altair, Thuban or many others.
It was known to be an object of worship among many ancient cultures. There is a tribe in Burkina Faso known as the Dogon tribe that claim to have descended from this region of space. It is the focus of much occult work and those involved in research and/or speculation concerning beings from the Sirius star cluster.
There is a documentary entitled: Sirius.
The man behind this project, Dr. Steven Greer, is known in the UFO community. There are those who say this is a grift, which he is making serious money charging serious money. There are those who say he is a disinfo agent. One thing is for sure, when he is invited to speak as a guest, he can hardly allow anyone else to have a word in edge wise.
Dr. Steven Greer and those who work with him say that the real reason for the information about UFOs (Unidentified Flying Objects) or UAPs (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) is that this relates to issues of energy monopoly by the big oil companies.
That, by admitting that advanced beings come to Earth, the ultimate question that mechanics, physics and others will ask is: How?
They are obviously not using coal, gas and oil. So this will challenge not someone’s million-dollar piggy bank but their multi-billion dollar piggy bank. Suddenly, companies like Saudi Aramco, China Petroleum & Chemical Corp, PetroChina Co. Ltd, ExxonMobil Corp, Shell PLC, Total Energies SE, Chevron Corp, BP PLC etc. are seen as real threats to humanity as they pay money and influence people in positions of power to keep these phenomena under wraps. That they orchestrate wars and manipulate global politics all for $$, all for greed.

The interesting thing about the video above if you go to the @1:115 (one minute 15 second mark) is you can get to see how a craft may function.
Now, if a species decided to explore magnetism and the electromagnetic field over, say, fossil fuels for their needs, they could be quite adept at harnessing magnetic potential. You could develop a technology that would reverse the polarity of ions in the atmosphere via an increase or decrease in electronegativity. This would create a pull or push motion. Having super conductive metals that could be super-cooled or super-heated without affecting their durability may be ideal for construction of such a craft.
The Pleiadean Star Cluster and Islam

While we were sitting with the Prophet (saw) Surat Al-Jumu’a was revealed to him, and when the Verse, “And He (Allah) has sent him (Muhammed) also to other (Muslims)…..’ (62.3) was recited by the Prophet, I said, “Who are they, O Allah’s Messenger (saw)?” The Prophet (saw) did not reply till I repeated my question thrice. The Pleiades star cluster is also a star cluster featured predominantly among the Native American people’s, the Aboriginal people’s of Australia. The car Subaru is Japanese for Pleiades and their logo reflects the cluster.
Canadian Former Minister of Defense claims that Earth is/has been visited by no less than 4 different distinct species of Extra Terrestrials. He also has claimed that Allah (swt) is his God! Mash’Allah.
He is the first person of cabinet rank from a G-7 Nation to unequivocally do so.

The Implications for Muslims.
We hope, dear reader, we have at least piqued your interest in these phenomena and topic. The implication of this as Muslims is that, no matter what is revealed or discussed concerning this subject, it should never take away from our core beliefs.
- Allah (swt) is the lord of all realms (the alameen) all that exist.
- Allah (swt) is our Creator and not other wordly entities or beings.
- That Allah (swt) is sufficient for us and the best disposer of our affairs.
- To be aware of the possibility of extreme deception with regard to these phenomena.
Possible areas of deception are.
- They are the creators or have revealed themselves to be.
- The whole thing could be staged or faked. There could be humans who have willingly had their genetics tampered with to go along with such a ruse.
- Fake Alien invasion in order to introduce more measures of control over the Earth.
- The truth about their technology is being concealed in an effort to maintain the current energy status quo.
- There could be malevolent entities (Jinn, or anything else) working in concert to release information that harms us and not benefit. One is reminded of the verse
- “They learned what harmed them and did not benefit them.” (Qur’an 2:102) for example, giving technologies that advance war fighting and not medicine, communication or clean energy.
- Possibility of a ruse by certain governments in order to throw other governments off balance while planning a massive war on said government.
One thing is certain, these objects that have been spotted over North America recently and the Pentagon coming out and saying that it is possible that there is a “mother ship” that is launching probes at Earth we as humanity, are slowly being prepped and prepared for something.
“And say: “Truth has (now) arrived, and Falsehood perished: for Falsehood is (by its nature) bound to perish.” (Qur’an 17:81)
